This training program combines a two course training track:Event Planning and Management Dining Room and Banquet ManagementEvent planners need professional caliber information that explains everything from how to decorate, to the use of technology, and everything in between. In this course you will learn that information and much more. It is through planned events that we remember our shared history, our friends, family, and community. We include information on greener events, corporate social responsibility, international best practices, and the expanding event field. You will also learn how technology, including the use of social media, may be harnessed to improve the financial, environmental, and other strategic outcomes of a special event.

As businesses and organizations become increasingly international, meetings and conventions are expected to become even more important. Can I write in the books?
No, but the student may purchase the book at the end of the course. Please refer to your book agreement that you signed in your initial enrollment process. It outlines all of the specifications in regard to your books.
When do I get my welcome letter?
You will receive your welcome letter 3-5 days prior to your start date. If you have not received within that time frame please contact an Education Consultant to help you.

What is difference between a certificate and a certification?
By successfully completing a course through one of our college or university partners the student is awarded a Certificate of Completion from the institution. If there is a state or national exam that the course is preparing a student for, the proper certifying body will be indicated and that association will proctor and award any type of certification. This is the student’s responsibility, although ECA is here to help guide our students in the right direction.
Does this course translate in to college credit?
Through our college and university partners, ECA offers non-credit certificate programs.
How long do access to my complete my course?
Access will begin on your start date and end on your end date unless otherwise specified. If you are falling behind in your course please contact an Education Consultant to talk about your options.
When are the course start dates?
The course start dates are determined by the student due to open-enrollment.
Is the Certification exam included in the course?
The certification exam is not included in the cost of the course unless otherwise specified in the course education and training plan.
Upon successful completion of our Event Planning and Management course, students will be prepared for an entry-level job in the Event Planning industry and to sit for the NCCB national certification exam to become a Certified Event Planning Specialist (CEPS).
