Medical administrative assistants primarily work in doctors offices, clinics, outpatient settings, hospitals, and other healthcare settings. This program prepares students to function effectively in many of the administrative and clerical positions in the healthcare industry. It provides students a well-rounded introduction to medical administration that delivers the skills students require to obtain an administrative medical assistant position or advance within their current healthcare career. History and background of the medical assisting profession

Interpersonal skills, medical ethics, and basic medical law

Telephone techniques and skills for scheduling appointments

Students who complete this program will have the opportunity to pursue the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA).

What is difference between a certificate and a certification?

By successfully completing a course through one of our college or university partners the student is awarded a Certificate of Completion from the institution. If there is a state or national exam that the course is preparing a student for, the proper certifying body will be indicated and that association will proctor and award any type of certification. This is the studentís responsibility, although ECA is here to help guide our students in the right direction.
